This page is for businesses. We offer commercial rubbish removal in Camden for offices, shops, restaurants and other workplaces, from Holborn and Bloomsbury to Camden Town and West Hampstead. Our own crew loads the waste into our vans, so we leave no bins or skips on site. Evenings, early starts and Sundays can be arranged.
Some Camden streets have timed waste collections, some main roads are TfL red routes, and the whole borough sits inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone. Tell us about access when you send photos.
Rubbish removal for businesses in Camden
Offices in Holborn, Bloomsbury and King's Cross can be cleared after a lease ends or a floor is reorganised, and our office clearance service covers furniture, paper and other office waste. Shops and restaurants in Camden Town and Kentish Town can use our shop clearance service. Warehouses and workshops are covered by our factory and warehouse clearance service.
For regular waste, our commercial waste collection service runs scheduled collections on the days the client picks. Each job comes with a waste transfer note and an invoice, and account terms can be agreed.
Camden council commercial waste and how we differ
Camden contracts business waste collection to Veolia. The council describes the service as "professional, reliable, flexible services to suit your business needs", and businesses sign up through an online form about their current collections. The council also says that businesses are charged for their duty of care annually, and that recycling and waste collection costs are not included in business rates. Full details are on the council's business waste information page.
The council service suits many businesses with a regular bin collection. A van clearance suits a different job: a one-off clear-out, bulky items such as furniture, a shop or office refit, or a business that wants no bins on site. We give one fixed price in writing after the client sends photos. Our guide to council commercial waste in central London covers this in more detail.
Local rules for businesses in Camden
Presentation rules differ by street, so check your own street first. The council's general rules say bags should be tied securely, put out at the kerbside so they are visible but do not block the footpath, and only put out at the agreed times and days. Bins should not be stored on the public footpath. See the business waste information page.
In Camden Town, the council says businesses, and residents above shops, should put out recycling and rubbish only at these times: 5:30am to 6am, 5:30pm to 6pm and 11:30pm to midnight. Some streets apply only at a junction or for part of the street, so check the list on the Camden Town collection page. Where a time band applies, waste should go out no more than 30 minutes before the agreed collection time, as the council's business page sets out.
Fines and fly-tipping
The council's business waste page warns that businesses which put waste out wrongly could be fined or prosecuted. If your waste ends up being fly-tipped, the council says you could face a fine, even if someone else dumped it. The do the right thing with your waste page explains the rules.
Duty of care and checking a carrier
The council says that you must make sure your waste is collected, transported and disposed of by a licensed waste carrier. It calls this your duty of care and a legal requirement under the Environmental Protection Act 1990. You can check a carrier on the public register of waste carriers, brokers and dealers. We hold an Environment Agency upper tier waste carrier and dealer licence, CBDU502847, valid to 16 September 2029.
Access, timing and the Congestion Charge
Some main roads are TfL red routes, where the signs and road markings decide whether a van may stop and load, so we check the road before the visit. The whole borough is inside the Ultra Low Emission Zone, which runs 24 hours a day, every day of the year except Christmas Day. The south of the borough below Euston Road, including Holborn, Bloomsbury and Fitzrovia, is inside the Congestion Charge zone. TfL's zone page confirms any address by postcode.
Office buildings often set their own rules for lifts, loading bays and hours. Tell us what the building requires when you send photos, and we will work to those rules. Our normal hours are Monday to Saturday, 7am to 7pm.
